MCU Development Kits

C8051F930DK

The easiest way to begin development with the C8051F9xx MCU family is with the complete, low-cost professional C8051F930DK development kit.

The C8051F9xx family is supported by the C8051F930 development kit, a C8051F931-based ToolStick Daughter Card, and a Capacitive Touch Sense Daughter Card, which is available separately or as part of the Capacitive Touch Sense starter kit. The C8051F930 development kit also includes Silicon Labs' Battery Life Estimator.

The C8051F930DK Development Kit includes:

  • IDE and Product Information CD-ROM, which includes the following:
  • Third Party Tools and Documentation CD
  • Target/Prototyping PCB (C8051F930TB)
  • Wall mounted universal power supply
  • USB debug adapter
  • 2 USB cables
  • 2 AAA batteries

 

A host PC is required to run the development kit software and communicate with the debug adapter. The PC must meet the following system requirements:

  • Windows 2000 or later
  • One USB port

 

Silicon Laboratories' development kits include advanced debug features enabling the user to fully develop and integrate hardware and software design. Since the MCU has built in debug capabilities, it can be installed into the end application. This development system is not encumbered with sockets, target cables or "ICE Chips." The development kit supports the following debug features:

  • Run, halt and single-step
  • Set hardware breakpoints
  • Inspect/Modify memory and registers
  • Download program memory

 

Battery Life Estimator
Included as part of the C8051F912DK development kit, or downloadable from our website, the Silicon Labs Battery Life Estimator is a GUI-based tool that provides details on typical battery discharge characteristics, as well as a user-editable spreadsheet. The tool enables a designer to optimize their low-voltage/low-power MCU application.
